About: The Cover
Making Your Company Human offers readers a tried and true method of inspiring positive change in the workplace — one person at a time.
The result of many years of leadership experience, this book is intended to help aspiring business leaders create an environment that fosters respect, partnership, and individual greatness. It was a labor of love for Le Herron, who infused it with his strong faith and optimism in people’s potential.
Once the story was refined and ready to take its place on the page, Le and his associate, Sherry Christie, selected Kernacopia as their creative partner. It was our task to capture Le’s vision and reflect his passion through innovative design.
The book jacket makes a bold and contemporary statement, while preserving a degree of classic surrealism. Using varied hues of serene orange and sunset red to reflect Le’s own modest, inspiring, and warm personality, it incorporates an abstract profile which is a silhouette of Le himself. As a whole, the design symbolizes his caring personal style, business experience, and timeless philosophy.
The shift in color intensity from cooler to warmer is meant to work on two levels. First, it suggests the one-on-one dialogue between leader and worker that gradually leads to trust and fulfillment. More broadly, it also symbolizes the transformation from a company devoid of individual passion to one that embraces human warmth and a more purposeful existence.
Artwork defining each chapter parallels the cover design, transforming abstract and seemingly intangible ideas into simple icons. Gathering as the story unfolds, the icons multiply through the progression of chapters, suggesting company growth and more complex human connections.
We at Kernacopia have enjoyed the challenge of translating this remarkable story into the book you now hold. We hope you find its messages as inspiring and thought-provoking as we do.
